Lionel Samson's Cellars, February 2010

The newly refurbished cellars below Lionel Samson's historic Fremantle premises hosted their first guests on Sunday 21 February 2010. A combined open committee meeting and wine tasting (now there's a potent combination!) christened the new venue, which was still being finished off that very morning.

The 24 car park spaces behind Samson's contained at least 24 cars (or was it 28)?
Host Dick Erskine at the foot of the steps in the stone-flagged cellar, welcoming arriving members.
A display of Lionel Samson's wares adorns one wall of the cellar.
Seated at one of the jarrah tables - that's a two-inch thick solid slab of jarrah there - and the discussions commence.
Good to see Michael Jardine again after a longish absence overseas. He arrived in "Dorset1", one of his two Silver Clouds.
Everyone agreed that taking care of Club business is a lot of hard work!
